The earth pyramids on the Renon plateau
Description
A modern cable car connects Bolzano to So-prabolzano (m. 1200) in 12 minutes. Then, the fa-mous Renon Train drives to Collalbo through meadows and forests in the presence of the Dolomites.
From Collalbo, a pleasant walk reaches the view-point to observe the Earth Pyramids.
The Earth Pyramids are a 25-thousand-year-old geological phenomenon consisting of pinnacles of moraine materials, each covered by a big rock protecting the pyramid from erosion.
