You could rather call it a “miniature Castle” than a Prince's Castle.
It is located in the centre of Merano, behind the Town Hall and the Arcades Street. Built in the second half of the 15th century by Sigismund, Archduke of Austria.
The furniture, the weapons its wood-panelled ancient parlour, tiled stoves, bedroom, maiden room and a little chapel decorated with frescoes dating back to the 16th century provide an interesting insight into the life in Mediaeval times.
