A WINEGROWING LAND CALLED SOUTH TYROL

South Tyrol is one of the smallest winegrowing area in Italy but is home to authentic quality wines with an independent character that reflect the climate, atmosphere, geology and the mentality of the local people: northern elegance and southern vigour. This interaction results in full-bodied red wines like Lagrein,  Pinot Noir, and fresh-fruity white wines like Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon and Gewürztraminer.

We suggest a tour along the “Wine Route” in the southern part of South Tyrol (Oltradige), through vineyards, old castles, idyllic villages with a fine view over the Lake of Caldaro. The tour will end in a winery visiting the cellars and tasting the typical local wines.
